Things to try first
My buddy doesn't react to typing
Turn on TTANG TTANG Buddies in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring. "Typing detection is off — Turn On…" in the menu bar menu takes you to the same place. If nothing changes after turning it on, quit and reopen the app.
I can't see the menu bar icon
If your menu bar has many icons, it may overflow and hide. Open the app once more from Finder or Spotlight and the Settings window appears. Right-clicking your buddy shows the same menu.
I can't see my buddy
Choose "Call Here" in the menu bar menu to bring it to the current screen. If it's hidden for an hour, choose "Show Again". It hides over full-screen apps.
I want to move to a new Mac
For the Mac App Store edition, download it with the same Apple Account, then press "Restore purchases" in "Wardrobe & Shop". For the web edition, enter the same license key (up to 3 Macs).
I lost my license key
It's in the email you got after paying. You can also look up the payment on the Dodo Payments customer portal (customer.dodopayments.com).
My key says it's already used up
App and Special Friends keys work on up to 3 Macs, and paw pack keys work only once. If you never used it (this can happen when the internet drops while the key is being activated), email us the key and your order number.
I want to remove the app
Quit the app, then move it from your Applications folder to the Trash. Also remove it from the list in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring. Your saved pet, paws and the rest stay on your Mac even after the app is in the Trash. To erase them too, in Finder choose Go → Go to Folder, open ~/Library/Containers/dev.bang9.ttangpet and move that folder to the Trash.
