Terms of Service
Summary
- TTANG TTANG Buddies is a pet app that lives on your Mac desktop. You pay for the app once: the Mac App Store edition in the Mac App Store, and the web edition on our site with a license key. In the app we sell the Special Friends pack and paw (in-app currency) packs. There are no auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Payments and refunds are handled by merchants of record (the companies that take payment, handle tax and pay refunds): Apple for the Mac App Store edition and Dodo Payments for the web edition. Users in Korea can withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of buying it (cancel the contract within a set period after buying). However, an activated web edition app key, a received Special Friends pack and paid paws already spent can't be withdrawn (Users in Korea).
- Paws and items are a license to use inside this app only. They can't be exchanged for cash or transferred to others. Anything received from a refunded or cancelled payment may be taken back.
- Our liability is limited to the extent the law allows. We don't limit liability for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence.

Who does what
- Payment, tax and refunds for the Mac App Store edition: Apple, as merchant of record. Mac App Store terms also apply to payments.
- Payment, tax, refunds and license keys for the web edition: Dodo Payments, as merchant of record. Dodo Payments' terms also apply to payments.
- Providing the app, delivering what you bought and answering questions: us, as the service provider.
Who can use the app
You can use the app if you are at least 13 (at least 14 in Korea; in the EEA, at least 13–16 depending on the country). If you are younger, you need permission from a parent or guardian. You can buy paid products if you are old enough to make contracts in your country or have a parent's or guardian's consent.
If a person under 19 paid without a legal guardian's consent, that person or the guardian can cancel the contract. Ask Apple for Mac App Store payments and Dodo Payments for web edition payments.
What the app does
- Your pet lives on your Mac desktop (along the bottom of the screen). If you allow the Input Monitoring permission, your pet runs around, paints ground and earns paws every time you press a key. Without the permission, petting, tossing and dressing up still work.
- The app runs on macOS 13 or later. Save backup, payments and license checks need the internet. The app is fixed and improved through updates (the Mac App Store edition through the Mac App Store, the web edition through updates in the app).
- The web edition can be used free without a key for a set period from the day you first launch it (shown on our site and in the app). After that, you need to enter an app key to use it. A web edition license key can be activated on a set number of Macs (3 Macs for the app key). A paw pack key can be activated only once.
- If something you bought doesn't match its description, you can ask where you paid to withdraw from the purchase (Withdrawal and refunds).
Changes to the app
We may fix the app, adjust balance, or change features for security or legal reasons. These changes don't cost you anything extra. We don't compensate for balance changes (including how fast you earn paws and item prices in paws) or for changes to free features and free rewards.
Changes that are bad for you, such as making something you bought unusable, will be announced on this page 30 days in advance, and any resulting loss will be handled according to the law. We will also give 30 days' notice before ending server features (such as save backup). An app you already have keeps working on your Mac without the server.
Prices and payment
| Product | Type | US price (before tax) | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| TTANG TTANG Buddies | App (one-time payment) | US$3.99 | The app itself (Mac App Store edition, or a web edition license key) |
| Special Friends Pack | Bought once, kept | US$2.99 | Tiger, arctic fox, red panda + golden steps |
| 2,000 Paws | Used up when spent (paw packs) | US$0.99 | Paws for new friends and outfits. |
| 8,000 Paws | Used up when spent (paw packs) | US$2.99 | 6,000 paws plus 2,000 bonus paws. |
Prices in the table are US prices before tax. In other countries, the Mac App Store or Dodo Payments checkout shows the amount in your currency including tax. The Mac App Store edition is bought only with Mac App Store payment, and the web edition only with Dodo Payments.
You are responsible for the internet access and data charges for using the service.
Withdrawal and refunds
Payments and refunds follow the policies and procedures of Apple for the Mac App Store edition and of Dodo Payments for the web edition. Your rights under the law are not affected. Users in Korea can withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of buying it (except an activated web edition app key, a received Special Friends pack and paid paws already spent). Details by country are below.
At a glance
- We sell in two places: the Mac App Store edition in the Mac App Store (Apple), and the web edition through Dodo Payments checkout on our site. In-app products are bought with the payment of the edition you use.
- Payments and refunds follow the policies and procedures of the merchant of record (Apple for the Mac App Store edition, Dodo Payments for the web edition). Your rights under the law are not affected.
- Free paws (from typing, gifts and affection rewards) can't be refunded. When we count how many paid paws you have spent, we treat your free paws as spent first.
- If a payment is refunded or cancelled, we may take back the paws and items received from it, and for the web edition we turn off that license key (Terms of Service).

Users in Korea
- You can withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of buying it (cancel the contract within a set period after buying). However, as we tell you before payment, you can't withdraw in the cases below (Korean E-Commerce Act, Article 17(2)5 and 17(6)).
- Web edition app key: you can't withdraw once you have entered and activated it in the app. Before buying, you can use the web edition free without a key for a set period (shown on our site and in the app). A key you haven't activated can be withdrawn within 7 days of buying it.
- Special Friends pack: once you have received it, you can't withdraw, including the paws in the pack. Before buying, you can briefly try the pack's friends and step effect on your desktop from the wardrobe.
- Paw packs: you can't withdraw for paid paws you have already spent. Unspent paws can be withdrawn within 7 days of buying them. When we count how many paid paws you have spent, we treat your free paws as spent first.
- If a product doesn't match its description or doesn't work properly, you can withdraw within 3 months of buying (receiving) it, and within 30 days of when you found out (or could have found out).
- Refunds for a withdrawn purchase follow the refund procedure of where you paid. Ask Apple for Mac App Store payments and Dodo Payments for web edition payments (see "How to request a refund" below). If you need help with the request, let us know at support@bang9.dev. We will help you with it.
Users in the European Union
- You can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of buying it without giving a reason.
- If, at checkout with the merchant of record, you agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you lose the right of withdrawal, and you received a confirmation, you can't withdraw once supply has started. Without that consent or confirmation, you can withdraw and don't pay for what you used.
- To withdraw, use the refund request of where you paid (see "How to request a refund" below).
Users in the United Kingdom
You can cancel within 14 days of buying (right to cancel). If you agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would lose the right to cancel when you paid, you can't cancel once supply has started (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 37). If a product is faulty, you can get a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Users in Japan
Because these are digital products, we don't accept withdrawals or returns for the customer's own reasons. Payments and refunds, including when a product has a problem, follow the policies and procedures of the merchant of record (Apple or Dodo Payments). Your rights under the law are not affected. There are no subscriptions.
Users in Brazil
You can withdraw from a purchase (direito de arrependimento) within 7 days of buying it and get your money back through where you paid, by the same payment method.
Users in Argentina
You can withdraw from a purchase (arrepentimiento) within 10 days of buying it. For Mac App Store payments the refund request in your order history, and for web edition payments the refund request on the Dodo Payments customer portal, works as the withdrawal button.
Users in Chile
You can withdraw from a purchase (retracto) within 10 days of buying it. Ask where you paid (Apple or Dodo Payments).
Users in Mexico
You can revoke a purchase (revocación) within 5 business days of buying it. Ask where you paid (Apple or Dodo Payments).
Users in Colombia
You can withdraw from a purchase (retracto) within 5 business days of buying it. Ask where you paid (Apple or Dodo Payments).
How to request a refund
- Mac App Store: request it at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Web edition (Dodo Payments): find the payment on the Dodo Payments customer portal and request it there, or follow the instructions in your payment receipt email. If you aren't sure where to ask, let us know at support@bang9.dev.
- Please include: the order number (in your receipt email), the date of purchase and the product.
If there is an outage
Losses caused by outages are handled under the liability clause in Terms of Service and the law. We aren't liable for outages that aren't our fault (natural disasters, other companies' outages, problems with your device or internet connection). Your pet keeps working on your Mac without the internet.
Purchases by minors
If a person under 19 paid without a legal guardian's consent, that person or the guardian can cancel the contract and get all the money back. Ask Apple for Mac App Store payments and Dodo Payments for web edition payments. In the Mac App Store, parental controls (Ask to Buy) can block purchases in advance.
Withdrawal function (European Union)
For Mac App Store payments, the refund request on reportaproblem.apple.com is the withdrawal function; for web edition payments, it is the refund request on the Dodo Payments customer portal (customer.dodopayments.com).
Paws and items
- Paws (🐾) are an in-app currency used only to buy decorations in the app. There are paid paws (bought in paw packs or the Special Friends pack) and free paws (received from typing, gifts and affection rewards), shown together in one wallet.
- Free paws can't be refunded. When we count how many paid paws you have spent, we treat your free paws as spent first.
- If a payment is refunded or cancelled, we may take back the paws and items received from it. If they have already been spent, we may deduct the same amount from your other paws.
- Paws don't expire.
- Paws and items can't be exchanged for cash or another app's currency, or given or sold to others.
- Paws and items are saved on your Mac and backed up to our server. The Special Friends pack (a one-time purchase) can be restored with Restore Purchases in the Mac App Store edition, or with the same key in the web edition. Paw packs (used up when spent) are restored only from the save backup.
What you must not do
- Tamper with the app or its communication (modified apps, hacking), or exploit bugs
- Collect paws with automatic input programs, or send excessive requests to the server
- Sell or share a license key with others, or use someone else's key
- Copy, distribute or sell the app, its art or sounds without permission
- Use the app for unlawful purposes
If this happens, we may block that license key or save backup, or reverse rewards received.
Rights
The app's software, art, sounds and name belong to us or their original authors. We give you a personal, non-commercial right to use the app under these terms. You can't transfer this right to others. Items you buy are the same kind of license. Fonts and open-source software in the app follow their own licenses (in the app, Settings → Open source).
Liability
- We run the app with care, but we don't guarantee that the app and server will always be available or free of errors.
- We aren't liable for outages or losses that aren't our fault, for example force majeure such as natural disasters, war or power cuts, outages of other companies such as carriers, stores, payment providers or hosting providers, problems with your device or internet connection, or your own fault.
- Unless we acted intentionally or with gross negligence, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses (for example, lost profits) or data loss (for example, progress that wasn't backed up).
- For other losses, to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for this app in the last 12 months.
- We don't limit liability for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
- If you break these terms or the law and cause loss to us or others, you must compensate for that loss.
- Nothing in these terms reduces your rights under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will announce the changes and the effective date on this page at least 7 days in advance (30 days if the change is bad for you). If you don't agree with the new terms, you can stop using the app before the effective date.
Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live still apply.
- If there is a dispute, please email support@bang9.dev first. Users in Korea can apply for mediation to the Content Dispute Resolution Committee (www.kcdrc.kr) or the Korea Consumer Agency (1372).
- You can go to the court that has jurisdiction under Korean civil procedure law, or to the courts where you live. Small claims can use small claims procedures.
- There is no arbitration clause.
Store and payment terms
Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA) also applies to the Mac App Store edition. Dodo Payments' purchase terms apply to web edition payments. These terms govern the app service (the pet, save backup and items), and payments follow the terms of each merchant of record.
Language
This document was originally written in Korean. Translations are provided for convenience. If they differ, the original prevails, unless the law of the country where you live says otherwise.
